Team Honduras 2009

For 2009, 9 Greenville- Weston High School students will take this trip. Each student had to submit a college-like application. Students had to obtain letters of recommendation, fill out an application, and write an essay describing their motivation to go to Honduras. Each student has demonstrated high levels of personal responsibility, maturity, flexibility, and commitment.
Tre is a senior at GWHS.  His favorite subject is History.  He wants to be a computer engineer because he loves technology.  He has two younger siblings
Maressa is a senior at GWHS and wants to be an engineer because she loves to do math and equations. Maressa is outgoing, likes to play sports and loves trying new things. She is an honor student and will attend Alabama State University in the fall.

Denzel is a senior at GWHS. An accomplished athlete at GWHS, Denzel wants to become a football player because it’s what he’s been doing all his life. He likes to make jokes and keep everybody laughing.
Quinterra is a junior at GWHS. Her favorite class is U.S. History and she wants to be a general family doctor. She wants to do this because it will allow her to work with everyone. Quinterra likes to hang out with family and friends. She enjoys shopping, texting and having fun.
Shamita is a junior at GWHS whose favorite class is math. She wants to be a registered nurse so she can help people. She also likes to read, write and clean up!
Tyeisha is a sophomore at GWHS and her favorite class is history. She wants to become a general surgeon because she has immense goals to accomplish. She loves to write, read and hang out with friends. A fun fact about Tyeisha is that the gospel artist Kirk Franklin is a distant cousin of hers.

Martini is a junior at GWHS and his favorite class is math.  He wants to put his drawing and math skills to the test by becoming an architect in the future.  He loves to try new things to eat and meet new people.

Airnecia is a junior and a cheerleader at GWHS. Her favorite classes are Spanish and Culinary Arts. Airnecia wants to be a psychologist because she likes to help people both mentally and physically. She enjoys cooking and traveling and loves to make people happy!

Jasmine is a junior at GWHS; her favorite class is Spanish. She wants to be a physical therapist or entrepeneur when she gets older because it´s another way of helping people a learning experience of getting to know different people.  She has a very creative mind and loves drawing and writing poetry.  She also loves soccer but enjoys playing all sports.  She loves music and singing and dancing.
